Software Development in Testing Role (SDET) (junior role)

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and design test plans, test cases, step definitions, and feature files to effectively test our product range, serving as the most senior QA Engineering team member.
- Assist in building test libraries and expanding automation coverage within our tools.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, managing multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with team members.
- Follow established software development and testing standards, utilizing Agile/SCRUM methodologies, and work closely with QA Engineers, Development Leads, Developers, and Scrum Masters.
- Break down detailed specifications to implement testing requirements aligned with the needs of the Product team, Stakeholders, and Clients.
- Generate progress reports, track testing metrics, identify flaky tests, and prioritize their resolution.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

- The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of API automation testing experience.
- Proven experience in developing test plans, test cases, and executing testing procedures.
- Prior work experience in the financial services industry, specifically testing capital markets and high-volume trading systems, with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS).
- Proficiency in using Postman for API testing.
- Strong understanding of FIX protocol, trading standards, and their lifecycle.
- Familiarity with frameworks and languages such as SuperWSTest, NodeJS, ReactJS, TypeScript, C++, Java, and PactumJS.
- Experience applying Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices using JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g., Gherkin, Cucumber, Mocha, Chai) within a Continuous Integration environment.
