Job Description

Job Summary:
The accounting manager will supervise a small team and manage various bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the accounting period close.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Verify and record approved vendor invoices.
Process and document payments.
Reconcile statements and communicate with vendors.
Review and process employee expense reimbursements.
Payroll:
Provide payroll data and forms to the local provider.
Record payroll and charges in the general ledger.
Oversee payment distribution and adjustments.
Collaborate with the Global Payroll Manager on operational issues.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Create month-end entries.
Review and approve local team entries.
Reconcile the Philippines' balance sheets and bank accounts.
Assist with year-end closing for all company accounts.
General Duties:
Supervise and review local accounting staff.
Lead statutory audits.
Maintain accounting records.
Manage local bank relationships.
File payroll and other local taxes.
Provide backup support to the controller and other staff.
Perform clerical and related tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proactive and forward-thinking.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Familiarity with Sage Intacct preferred.
Excellent math and analytical skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Performance Evaluation:
The Philippines Accounting Manager's performance will be assessed regularly to ensure financial records are current and accurate.
