Job Description

**TASQ is seeking an accounting manager for a position in San Juan, Greenhills. The pre-screening interview will take place over the phone, so please make sure your phone line is accessible.**

**Job Summary**

The Accounting Manager will oversee a small team and handle various bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and facilitating the accounting period close.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Accounts Payable**

- Verify that vendor invoices have the necessary approvals and are correctly recorded.

- Process and document payments.

- Reconcile statements and maintain timely communication with vendors.

- Review and process employee expense reimbursements.

**Payroll**

- Provide payroll data and necessary forms to the local payroll provider.

- Record payroll and related charges in the appropriate general ledger.

- Oversee the distribution of payments and manage any adjustments as needed.

- Collaborate with the Global Payroll Manager to address current operational issues.

**Month-End and Year-End Close**

- Create month-end accounting entries.

- Review and approve entries produced by the local accounting team.

- Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts in the Philippines.

- Assist with the year-end closing process for all company accounts.

**General Duties**

- Supervise and review the work of local accounting staff.

- Lead statutory audits as needed.

- Maintain accounting records.

- Manage relationships with local banks.

- File payroll and other relevant local taxes.

- Provide backup support to the Controller and other accounting staff.

- Perform clerical and related tasks as necessary.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

- Forward-thinking, proactive approach.

- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills.

- Familiarity with Sage Intacct financial software is preferred.

- Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.

- Ability to meet tight deadlines.

**Performance Evaluation**

The Philippines Accounting Manager will be regularly assessed to ensure that the company's financial records are consistently up-to-date and accurately reflect the organization's financial health at all times.
