Job Description
Location: Onsite – Nueva Ecija, Philippines
Contract Duration: 2 Years (Project-Based)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the onsite execution of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project integrated with a large-scale solar power plant. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of BESS construction and a strong background in managing large-scale renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all onsite construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire construction lifecycle of the BESS component of the solar power plant project.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of construction milestones.
Supervise daily site operations, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works related to the BESS.
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress reports; proactively address delays or risks.
Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for all construction-related matters.
Conduct regular site inspections and lead construction meetings with stakeholders.
Facilitate quality control processes, inspections, and handover documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in construction management of BESS for solar or renewable energy projects.
Strong knowledge of utility-scale solar power plant and battery storage technologies.
Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors.
Proficiency in construction management tools and MS Office (Primavera, MS Project, etc. a plus).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Willing to be based onsite in Nueva Ecija for the duration of the 2-year contract.
Familiarity with Philippine construction regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes is an advantage.
Preferred:
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with LG Chem, Tesla, Sungrow, or similar BESS products.
Prior experience working in rural or off-grid project locations.
