Job Description

Job Overview:

A Construction Area Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction activities within a designated geographical area, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, by managing multiple construction sites, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with local regulations, all while reporting to a senior management team; requiring a strong understanding of construction practices, project management skills, and local Philippine construction laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Can be able to handle multiple projects.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned construction sites within the area.
Monitor project progress against established timelines and identify potential delays.
Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects within the area.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality control standards.
Can be able to handle different types of variations within multiple projects.

Site Management:

Oversee daily construction activities on assigned sites, including site safety procedures.
Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of their tasks.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify quality issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Resolve on-site conflicts and problems promptly.
Ensure that all equipment's onsite are working and

Budget Control:

Track project costs closely, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
Manage project budgets by monitoring expenditures and making necessary adjustments.
Analyze cost reports and identify areas for cost optimization.

Client Relationship Management:

Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.
Build strong relationships with clients to ensure project satisfaction and potential future business.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate construction teams on assigned sites, ensuring effective team dynamics.
Delegate tasks appropriately and provide necessary training and support to team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) regulations.
Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports, including progress updates, cost breakdowns, and safety reports to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Engineer
Proven experience in both horizontal and vertical projects
Proven experience in construction project management, Philippine setting.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, project planning, and budgeting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and coordinate with partnered Agencies.
Leadership abilities to lead and motivate construction teams
Proficiency in construction software and project management tools
Familiarity with local Philippine construction laws and regulations
