Job Description

Site Supervision:

Oversee and supervise the daily operations on the construction site.

Ensure that the construction work is in compliance with design specifications, standards, and regulations.

Inspect and monitor work to ensure it meets quality standards.

Technical Support:

Provide technical advice and guidance to construction teams.

Solve engineering problems and resolve technical issues as they arise during construction.

Coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure proper implementation of design.

Project Management:

Help in managing project timelines and ensuring that milestones are met.

Track progress and report on the construction schedule, budget, and project status.

Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate work.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure the construction site follows all safety protocols and complies with health and safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards.

Ensure all necessary documentation is in place for compliance with legal and environmental regulations.

Material Management:

Oversee the proper storage and usage of construction materials.

Help in procurement of materials, ensuring that they meet quality standards and are delivered on time.

Track inventory and ensure there are no delays due to material shortages.

Quality Control:

Ensure that the work is carried out in compliance with approved quality standards.

Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to specifications and drawings.

Conduct site tests, including soil tests, concrete tests, etc.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of work progress, site activities, and daily logs.

Prepare progress reports, project status updates, and technical documentation.

Ensure proper documentation of changes to the design or project scope.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Prior experience in construction or civil engineering projects is often required. Some positions may accept internships or entry-level experience.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of engineering principles, construction processes, and materials. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software may be required.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues on-site and quickly find practical solutions.

Leadership: Ability to lead and manage teams, contractors, and workers on-site.
