MEPEO Head

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage the operation of Nursery and Rehab-prep areas
- Manage the rehabilitation of mined out areas and enhancement/protection of areas that will be excluded from mining within the company’s MPSA area
- Spearhead the conduct of researches that are related to mine rehabilitation and environmental enhancement
- Manage the prevention and control of pollution
- Manage the implementation of activities that are related to the protection of the welfare and direct and indirect stakeholders of the company’s mining project
- Attend meetings called by various stakeholders
- Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time


Minimum Competency Standards:

- Graduate of Mining Engineer; Geologist or Metallurgical Engineer/ Environmental Engineer; Forestry or any Environmental related courses.
- With at least 5 years’ experience in Actual Mining Environment work
- Excellent in Written and Oral communication skills
- Adept in resolving issues/concerns/grievances being raised by stakeholders who are directly affected by the operation
- Must be honest and dependable
- With good analytical skills
- Must be systematic and a team player
- With high professional integrity
- With good leadership skills
- Able to meet deadline consistently
- Directly reporting to General Manager
- No adverse record, whether proven or not, involving corruption, bribery, dishonesty or misappropriation of funds in any organization or office;
