Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Staircase Joiner with substantial expertise in hardwood manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings, perform timber lamination, and operate various power tools, including saws and routers, with precision and efficiency. This role requires exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail to deliver high-quality staircase solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct and install wooden staircases using hardwood materials, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
Read and interpret shop drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
Perform timber lamination to create strong and visually appealing staircase components.
Operate and maintain various power tools, including saws, routers, and other woodworking equipment.
Measure, cut, and shape wood to precise dimensions using advanced joinery techniques.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct site surveys to gather measurements and assess project feasibility.
Adhere to safety standards and building regulations throughout all stages of the project.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in hardwood manufacturing and staircase joinery.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings.
Expertise in timber lamination techniques.
Advanced skills in using power tools, especially saws and routers.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Relevant certifications or vocational training in carpentry and joinery (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
Comfortable working in various environments, including construction sites.
