Job Description: We are seeking a Data Engineer/Architect with strong data warehouse experience to join our Digital ID Data Integration & Data Warehouse Project. Working under the Tech Lead, you'll collaborate with software developers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to design and implement data integration solutions. This role may include supervising a senior developer as part of the project team. You'll work standard Australian business hours with occasional flexibility required for system deployments or integration activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop robust data governance frameworks
Create flexible architectures that support both current and future needs
Implement automation to replace manual processes
Ensure data quality and validation across systems
Maintain data security through de-identification of sensitive information
Design and implement data warehouse architecture
Develop ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory
Create API designs for data access
Establish data modeling and database design
Make architectural decisions regarding data warehouse design
Recommend integration strategies for various data sources
Define data governance protocols and quality standards
Contribute to project planning across multiple phases

Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant data engineering experience
Experience with Microsoft Azure data services and Azure Functions
Proficiency with SQL Server and Azure SQL
Experience integrating multiple data sources into centralized repositories
Background in implementing data quality and validation frameworks
Understanding of data de-identification protocols
Expertise with Microsoft Azure data services ecosystem (Data Factory, Functions, SQL)
Strong SQL skills (complex queries, stored procedures, performance optimization)
TypeScript and/or Python for data processing
API design and implementation experience
Power BI for data visualization
Version control systems (Git)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
Experience with stakeholder engagement and micro-workshops
