Job Description
As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities for our Philippine BPO office. You will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the office. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Managing day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• Setting up and maintaining accounting systems and processes tailored to a BPO environment.
• Ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws, payroll taxes, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
• Collaborating with the Belgian headquarters to align financial practices and reporting.
• Handling financial audits and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Supporting multiple projects or clients with precise financial tracking and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a BPO or outsourcing environment.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software.
o Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage.
o Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws PEZA and compliance requirements.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Filipino (Tagalog) is required.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
o Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to establish financial workflows independently.
