Job Description
The Accounting Officer (CPA) manages and ensures the accuracy of all financial transactions and reports. This role involves preparing financial statements, handling tax filings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.).
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Tax and Compliance:
Handle tax filings and ensure legal compliance (e.g., VAT, income tax).
Work with auditors during audits and provide required information.
Budgeting and Planning:
Assist in creating and managing the company’s budget.
Monitor financial performance and provide reports to management.
Cash Flow Management:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure proper cash flow to meet business needs.
Internal Controls:
Implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets.
Review and improve financial processes.
Financial Advice:
Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
