Job Description
The Performance and HR Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function, with a
particular focus on performance management, talent development, and organizational culture. This role is critical in driving the
company’s strategic goals by ensuring that employees are effectively managed, motivated, and aligned with the organization’s
mission and objectives. The Performance and HR Director will oversee HR policies, employee relations, talent acquisition, training
and development, and performance management systems to foster a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performance Management:
o Design, implement, and manage the company’s performance management system.
o Develop and communicate performance expectations and standards across the organization.
o Facilitate regular performance reviews, appraisals, and feedback sessions.
o Provide guidance and support to managers in handling performance-related issues.
o Implement strategies to address underperformance and reward high performers.
2. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
o Leading the recruitment process to ensure the hiring of top talent that aligns with the company’s culture and goals.
o Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain diverse and high-caliber candidates.
o Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards to optimize sourcing channels.
o Ensure that the recruitment process is fair, transparent, and in compliance with legal requirements.
3. Talent Development & Training:
o Identify training and development needs across the organization and create programs to address these needs.
o Implement employee development initiatives, including leadership training, career development plans, and
succession planning.
o Manage onboarding processes to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the company.
o Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
4. Employee Relations:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
o Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
o Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
o Ensure that employee relations policies are consistently applied across the organization.
5. Organizational Culture & Employee Engagement:
o Promote and sustain a strong organizational culture that aligns with the company’s values and mission.
o Develop and implement employee engagement strategies and initiatives.
o Organize and manage employee recognition programs and events.
o Conduct regular surveys to assess employee morale and address areas of concern.
6. Compensation & Benefits:
o Oversee the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
o Ensure that compensation structures and incentive structures are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
o Review and recommend changes to benefit plans to ensure they meet the needs of employees.
o Manage payroll processes in collaboration with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
7. HR Policy Development & Compliance:
o Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and
regulations.
o Monitor changes in labor legislation and ensure the company’s HR practices remain compliant.
o Communicate HR policies to employees and ensure they are understood and adhered to.
8. Strategic HR Planning:
o Align HR strategies with the overall business objectives and strategic goals of the company.
o Participate in strategic planning meetings to provide HR insights and recommendations.
o Evaluate HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs.
9. Leadership & Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to ensure high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
o Set clear goals and expectations for the HR team and regularly assess their performance.
o Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
10. IT and Operational Support:
o Collaborate with the IT department to ensure HR systems are optimized and secure.
o Provide operational support for HR-related software and tools.
o Assist other departments with operational events, as needed, ensuring a smooth and effective process.
