Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
Oversees the Merchandising Department, ensuring stores are stocked with the optimal product mix by conducting research, evaluating trends, selecting merchandise, and managing purchasing decisions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute category strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to curate a compelling product assortment.
• Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Manage inventory levels, markdowns, and promotions to optimize sell-through.
• Work closely with the buying, marketing, and store operations teams to align merchandising strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, turnover, and stock levels.
• Implement visual merchandising standards that enhance the in-store and online shopping experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 2+ years in Category Management, Merchandising, or Buying within the retail industry (sports, fashion, or consumer goods preferred).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis tools.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.
• Experience in e-commerce merchandise is a plus.
