Job Summary:
The Diamond Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, guiding clients through their jewelry purchases, and offering expert knowledge on diamonds and other precious stones. They play a crucial role in achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service:
• Assist customers in selecting diamonds and fine jewelry based on their preferences, budget, and needs.
• Educate clients on the 4Cs of diamonds (Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat) and other product details.
• Deliver an exceptional in-store shopping experience, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.
• Handle inquiries, complaints, and after-sales services in a professional manner.
Product Knowledge & Presentation:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry trends.
• Explain product features, quality, and certifications to customers.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and kept in pristine condition.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
Client Relationship & Networking:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, encouraging repeat business.
• Follow up with customers regarding special orders, new arrivals, and promotions.
• Maintain a customer database for personalized service and client retention.
Operational Responsibilities:
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, store security, and cash handling procedures.
• Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Assist in store opening, closing, and general housekeeping duties.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Prior experience in jewelry sales or luxury retail is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of diamonds and gemstones (GIA certification is a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for luxury products and exceptional customer service.
• Goal-oriented with strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
