Job Description:
A Cash Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing cash transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining operational efficiency in cash management processes. They work closely with finance, treasury, and accounting teams to reconcile cash balances, analyze cash flow, and optimize liquidity. The role also involves identifying discrepancies, resolving payment issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cash transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, receipts, and cash transfers.
Analyze cash flow trends and provide reports to management.
Collaborate with treasury and accounting teams to optimize cash management strategies.
Investigate and resolve payment errors, delays, or discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Develop and improve cash operations processes to increase efficiency.
Work with banks and financial institutions to manage transactions and accounts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in cash operations, treasury, accounting, or financial services.
Experience with banking transactions, financial reconciliations, and payment processing is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Knowledge of cash management principles and best practices.
Familiarity with ERP systems and banking platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial institutions, corporate treasury, or payment processing.
Understanding of regulatory compliance related to cash transactions.
Certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CFA (a plus).
