Job Description
primary objective of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining
compliance with government-mandated deductions, tax regulations, and employee benefits. The Payroll
Officer will also be responsible for managing HRIS, monitoring leaves and health benefits, and ensuring
smooth payroll operations that support employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
This position is urgent, as the current Payroll Assistant’s last working day is March 28 th . We are looking
to onboard the right candidate promptly to maintain seamless HR operations.
Job Scope:
1. Payroll Processing
Ensure accurate and timely processing of employees’ payroll, including computation
of salaries, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
Validate attendance records, leaves, and overtime claims before payroll run.
Process final pay for resigned employees and clearances.
2. Government Mandated Deductions and Compliance
Compute, deduct, and remit contributions for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other
government-mandated benefits.
Process BIR (tax) computations, withholding tax remittances, and filing of BIR forms
(2316, 1601-C, etc.).
Ensure compliance with DOLE labor laws and tax regulations.
3. Government-Related Employee Benefits
Facilitate the filing and processing of government loans (SSS Salary Loan, Pag-IBIG
MPL, etc.) and benefits (maternity, sickness, EC, etc.).
Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of reports to government
agencies.
4. HRIS Management and Payroll Software
Maintain and update employee payroll records in HRIS (preferably AUB HRIS or
similar payroll systems).
Generate reports from HRIS for payroll reconciliation and auditing purposes.
5. Leave and Benefits Monitoring
Track and update employee leave balances (VL, SL, emergency leave, etc.).
Ensure accurate reporting of used and remaining health benefits (e.g., HMO, medical
reimbursements).
6. Payroll Reports and Audits
Prepare payroll summary reports for management.
Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS (preferably AUB HRIS).
Strong understanding of BIR tax computation, government deductions, and labor laws.
Familiarity with DOLE regulations and statutory benefits filing.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential payroll data with integrity.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
