OR Nurse

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Operating Room (OR) Nurse to join our healthcare team. The OR Nurse will provide perioperative care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work in high-pressure situations and collaborate effectively with surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with necessary surgical instruments, sterile equipment, and supplies.
Assist surgeons during procedures by handing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
Implement strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care and education to patients.
Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Assist in emergency situations and handle unexpected complications in the OR.
Ensure compliance with the standards set by the Philippine Nursing Act of 2002 (RA 9173) and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.
Experience: Preferably with at least 1-2 years of experience in an operating room or surgical setting.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred
Operating Room Nursing Training Program (Perioperative Nursing Course) – Advantageous but not always required
IV Therapy Certification – Recommended
Strong knowledge of Philippine hospital policies, DOH regulations, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes surgical environments.
