Job Description
This position is for a 3-month project and is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, logistics expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise and manage a team of workers involved in the repacking of fertilizer.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repacking standards.
Monitor team performance and ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule.
Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and productive team environment.
Logistics Oversight:
Oversee the logistics of transporting raw materials to the repacking site and distributing finished products to clients or storage.
Ensure proper coordination between the warehouse, repacking team, and distribution channels to avoid delays.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and logistics partners to ensure on-time deliveries and smooth operations.
Track inventory levels and order necessary supplies in a timely manner.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all repacking processes adhere to quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
Implement and maintain quality control checks throughout the process to minimize errors and rework.
Address and resolve any issues related to product quality, safety concerns, or logistical challenges.
Project Planning & Reporting:
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
Provide regular progress updates to senior management, including any challenges and solutions.
Ensure that the project remains on track to meet deadlines and within budget.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and troubleshoot any operational issues that may arise.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety.
Maintain a solutions-oriented approach and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in logistics, warehouse management, or manufacturing environments.
Proven experience managing teams, coordinating logistics, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with logistics software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
