Job Description
Primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hardware components, network and peripheral equipment and basic software application of the computerized information processing system.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statement and core values of the organization.
2. Assists in checking information on technology-related equipment and supplies requisition of other departments for accuracy of technical specification.
3. Receives and checks all deliveries of computer / network equipment to ensure compliance with specifications before turnover to stock room or end user.
4. Installs and configures newly acquired computers / network and peripheral equipment; inspects assembled computers, printers and related equipment to verify compliance to specifications and connectivity requirements.
5. Performs technical analysis, tracks upgrades, troubleshoots and repairs PC-based errors including hardware, OS, software, BIOS, compatibility, reliability and performance and resolves hardware–related technical problems.
6. Undertakes installation, maintenance and support of Local Area Network (LAN) connection, hardware and software.
7. Performs maintenance, configuration, set-up and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, workstations and network printers.
8. Maintains duplicate copies of service warranties for information and communication technology equipment and arranges for repair services by suppliers or authorized service centers for computer malfunction against such warranties.
9. Coordinates with external service centers for specialized equipment repair.
