Job Description

JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk Payables

REPORTS TO: Accounting Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:
• Knows basic bookkeeping.
• Performs inventory/stock count every end of the month.
• Checks stock deliveries.
• Prepares payroll and other benefits of employees.
• Performs other tasks assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares check vouchers for the monthly expenses and to all suppliers, and assures that attachments for expenses are complete.
2. Records/Posts to the system all disbursement transactions.

3. Monitors the schedule of payables in order to avoid overpayment.

4. Records all purchases made and keeps track of all payables to suppliers.

5. Prepares the monthly inventory report.

6. Monitors accountable forms such as Check Vouchers, Cash Vouchers, Petty Cash Vouchers and other forms used.

7. Assists in other accounting tasks such as checking deliveries if needed.

8. Performs inventory count every end of the month or as the need arises including fixed asset tagging.

9. Ensures that all disbursement documents are complete, arranged and properly filed.

10. Coordinates with the Accounting Supervisor, Admin & Finance Manager and Internal Auditors with regards to accounting transactions if needed.

11. Performs other tasks assigned by the Accounting Supervisor, Admin & Finance Manager, and Internal Auditors if needed.

12. Understands that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.

13. Works closely with other departments that are essential to ensuring a positive guest experience.

14. Assists other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.

15. Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Management from time to time.

PREREQUISITES:
Proficient in Accounting. Knows how to use MS Office especially MS Excel and MS Word. Can work under pressure. Organized and systematic. Can work under pressure.
EDUCATION:
Accounting Graduate. With Accounting, Tax, and related Accounting Seminars attended.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience working as Accounting Clerk for at least 3 years.
