Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead (PHP Laminas) to join our team on a 12-month remote contract. This role acts as a critical bridge between the business and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication, innovation, and technical excellence following the departure of our current CTO. The ideal candidate is an all-rounder with strong PHP Laminas expertise, QA testing background, and the ability to provide technical leadership in our transport management platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the buffer between the business and development teams, ensuring seamless alignment of technical and business goals
Provide technical leadership across development and infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and scalability
Lead the technical development of our transport management platform
Restructure and optimize our JIRA environment to improve project management
Establish and enhance QA & testing methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team
Drive innovation while maintaining system stability and performance
Act as a technical advisor to the business, providing insights and recommendations
Drive technical decision-making and architectural improvements
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 year's experience with PHP, with specific expertise in Laminas framework
Strong background in QA testing methodologies and implementation
Previous experience with JIRA administration and optimization
Ability to speak confidently and act as a true advisor to the business
Experience leading development teams and setting technical strategy
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
