Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager & Artworker with expertise in packaging design and technical print processes. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end packaging artwork process, ensuring all projects meet design and print specifications. You will oversee project timelines, liaise with clients and production teams, and create or refine artwork to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple packaging design projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Work closely with clients, designers, and production teams to ensure artwork aligns with brand guidelines and print specifications.
Create, adapt, and refine packaging artwork for print, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with production requirements.
Prepare print-ready files, including color separations, dielines, and specifications for various substrates and printing methods.
Ensure packaging designs are optimized for different print processes such as offset, flexographic, lithographic, and digital printing.
Conduct quality control checks on artwork to ensure all files meet technical requirements before final production.
Manage version control and revisions, ensuring all artwork updates are documented and approved.
Troubleshoot print-related challenges, working closely with printers and suppliers to resolve issues.
Maintain strong project documentation, including timelines, approvals, and production notes.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and new print technologies to enhance packaging production efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a Project Manager, Artworker, or Packaging Designer within a packaging production environment.
Strong knowledge of technical print processes, including color management, trapping, overprint settings, and press specifications.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other industry-standard design tools.
Experience in managing packaging artwork for FMCG, retail, cosmetics, or consumer goods brands.
Understanding of dielines, structural packaging, and finishing techniques such as embossing, foiling, and varnishing.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and external print suppliers.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address production challenges and optimize artwork for print efficiency.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a creative team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with packaging artwork in global markets, ensuring compliance with regulatory packaging guidelines.
Knowledge of sustainability trends in packaging design, including eco-friendly materials and processes.
Previous experience managing pre-press and print proofing workflows.
