Creative Design Manager/ Eastwood QC

Job Duties
A creative design manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Managing teams of designers and other creative professionals, such as copywriters and programmers, to create successful products or services
- Estimating budgets for projects, managing expenses during the project, and negotiating contracts to ensure that the final product meets the client’s needs within the agreed-upon price range
- Reviewing new technologies or techniques that could impact the industry in which the firm operates
- Providing guidance to junior designers on how to improve their work
- Managing and developing a team of designers, including hiring and firing based on performance
- Working with clients to develop concepts and ideas for products or services
- Providing clients with regular progress updates on projects to keep them informed of progress
- Reviewing and approving design concepts created by designers to ensure that they meet the client’s needs
- Promoting a company’s products or services through various media channels such as social media, websites, print ads, or billboards

Job Requirements
A creative design manager typically needs the following qualifications:

Education: Creative design managers typically need a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, computer art or a related field. Some employers prefer to hire candidates who have a master’s degree in fine arts or graphic design.

Training & Experience: Creative design managers typically receive on-the-job training in the form of an apprenticeship or internship. During these periods, they learn the company’s design processes and procedures. They also learn how to work with the company’s design software and computer programs.
