Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Spanish Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our team and provide exceptional support to our Spanish-speaking patients and clients. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for answering inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate information regarding healthcare services, insurance, and general account management. You will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and supportive experience for our valued customers.



Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and/or chat, in both Spanish and English.
Accurately assess customer needs and provide appropriate information and solutions related to healthcare services, insurance coverage, billing inquiries, appointment scheduling, and general account management.
Effectively communicate complex information in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to customers with varying levels of health literacy.
Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and effectively, striving for first-call resolution whenever possible.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the designated systems.
Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare policies.
Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor for further assistance.
Stay up-to-date on healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and company services.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Translate documents or provide interpretation as needed.

Qualifications:


Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting (1-2 years preferred).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
Ability to empathize with customers and provide compassionate support.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with CRM software is a plus.
Knowledge of healthcare insurance concepts (e.g., deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket maximums) is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
