Job Description

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health information management, or a related field.
Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or similar certification preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or medical coding.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding, DRG assignment, and healthcare regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze medical records and identify documentation gaps.
Experience in training and educating healthcare providers on documentation practices.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of medical records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and coding professionals to improve documentation quality.
Conduct audits and reviews of medical records to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement training programs for healthcare providers on documentation best practices.
Monitor compliance with industry regulations and coding guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies.
Provide leadership and guidance to CDI specialists and other team members.
