Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
Calculate payroll based on hours worked, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure timely processing and distribution of payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports.
Employee Data Management:
Maintain and update employee records (personal data, salaries, benefits, etc.) in the payroll system.
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure payroll operations comply with government regulations (tax laws, labor laws, and other payroll-related legal requirements).
Prepare payroll-related reports for management (payroll summaries, tax deductions, benefits contributions).
Handle statutory reporting and payments for tax withholding, social security, and health benefits.
Benefits Administration:
Assist in the administration of employee benefits (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).
Track leave balances and absences (sick leave, vacation leave, maternity/paternity leave).
Payroll Queries & Issue Resolution:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors promptly.
General HR Support:
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees related to payroll and benefits enrollment.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll audits and employee data updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in payroll processing or related HR functions.
Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of tax regulations, benefits administration, and payroll laws.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
