Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
Develop and implement program plans in alignment with organizational priorities.
Monitor and evaluate program performance to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the success of program objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including government agencies, implementing partners, and community-based organizations.
Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and conferences as needed.
Research and Innovation:
Conduct or coordinate research activities to inform program design and decision-making.
Identify innovative approaches to address emerging challenges and leverage technology for program effectiveness.
Organizational Alignment:
Align program strategies with organizational policies and UNFPA principles.
Promote strategic alignment of human resource practices within the program.
Capacity Building:
Mentor and support staff to develop skills and competencies aligned with program needs.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops for internal teams and external partners.
Operational Efficiency:
Ensure program documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with financial protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Advanced Degree or equivalent in years of relevant work experience in Public Health, Population, Management, Demography, Development, Economics, or Public Administration.
Work Experience:
Relevant experience in program/project management and development, or research coordination.
Prior experience in community-based development is preferred.
Experience working with government implementing partners and familiarity with government planning processes and systems.
