Job Description

Job Title: Experienced Pastry Chef
Location: Irosin, Sorsogon, Philippines
Contract Type: 6 months (with the possibility of extension to 1 year)

About the Job:
We are in the process of building an exciting new café/bistro in Irosin, Sorsogon, and we’re looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to help bring our vision to life. If you have a passion for creating exceptional pastries and desserts and want to be part of a new and vibrant culinary destination, we want you on our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the menu and create something special from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts in line with our café’s standards.
Collaborate on creating new dessert concepts and seasonal offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
Ensure that all products are consistently produced to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Help with the setup and organization of the pastry section in the café/bistro as we build and expand.
Lead and train junior pastry staff, ensuring they meet our standards for consistency and excellence.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients and supplies.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
Strong expertise in baking, cake decoration, and pastry creation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Creativity and innovation in developing new desserts and baked goods.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
Fluency in English or Filipino (required for communication with the team and customers).
Culinary degree or specialized pastry training is a must.

Salary and Benefits:

Work Schedule:
Full-time, 8-hour shifts.
Flexible shift schedules (morning and afternoon).
