The Work/Responsibilities:
Act as software detectives, identifying and resolving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
Contribute feedback during project estimation, requirements gathering, and planning.
Participate in deployment planning reviews.
Ensure the Oracle production, test, and development databases run reliably and perform efficiently at all times. Tasks will include installations, patching, upgrades, capacity checks, backup and recovery, exports/imports, database cloning, performance monitoring/tuning, and troubleshooting, with occasional out-of-hours work.
Proactively manage incident resolution and handle multiple concurrent service issues while keeping colleagues and customers informed of progress.
Apply diagnostic skills to formulate resolution plans, and escalate issues as necessary based on business needs.
Track and implement all fixes, enhancements, and service improvements within appropriate timescales to prevent recurrence of issues.
Job Qualifications:
College graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT-related course.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL); experience in Java Enterprise Edition and Problem Management is a plus.
Experience in working directly with clients and onshore counterparts.
Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently under pressure and be a collaborative team player.
