Welder job description
Cut and join metal: Use welding torches and other equipment to melt and fuse metal parts together
Interpret blueprints: Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to understand what to weld
Inspect materials: Check materials and structures before welding
Operate equipment: Use welding machines and power supplies to melt and shape the metal
Monitor the process: Watch the welding process to avoid warping, shrinking, or distortion
Finish the product: Clean, polish, and file the welded parts, and add any protective or decorative finishes
Inspect the work: Check the welded parts and structures to ensure they meet safety and industry standards
