JOB DESCRIPTION: Benefits Administration Specialist
LOCATION: Full-time onsite; Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
OVERVIEW: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Administration Specialist to join our HR team. The Benefits Administration Specialist will be responsible for supporting the administration of our company’s U.S. employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

The main responsibilities of a BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST include:
Administer and support U.S. employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, medical leave triage, and system documentation uploads.
Assist employees with any questions regarding their benefits.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Manage vendor data transfer issues related to eligibility files.
Manage database of vendor contracts, renewals, and billing.
Field employee escalations related to benefit issues and provide ongoing education to employees about their benefits options.
Process new benefits claims and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
Prepare and distribute benefits-related communications and materials.
Manage document uploads and required filings.
Assist with the annual benefits renewal process and open enrollment.
Analyze and report on benefits utilization and costs to management.

3-5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits programs and regulations.
Benefit administration or similar administrative skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Previous business experience.
Experience working with U.S. medical insurance through employers.
College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, desirable but not required
