Job Description

The Accountant, under the supervision of the Financial Controller, is primarily responsible for overseeing the overall accounting process. This includes, among others: forecasting and budgeting, reconciliation of transactions and records, preparation of periodic financial reports, financial reporting to management, compliance and reportorial requirements to external entities such as Government agencies, auditors, investors, and customers.


Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

- Maintain depreciation schedules, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

- Reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested

- Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation

- Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines

- Oversee the assembly of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management

- Play a role in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

- Prepare BIR, SEC and other government annual requirements and monitor deadlines to ensure compliance with reportorial requirements and timely payments

- Payroll, including SSS, Pag-ibig, PhilHealth, and any pertinent Government contributions

- BIR reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually, or as required)

- Take part in the implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

- Participate in creating and altering office policies and procedure for improved workflow



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the overall accounting process

Preferably CPA Licensure Examination passer (Preferred, but not required)

With solid understanding of Ph and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

With experience in the field of Real Estate Development/Lease/Rental.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, QuickBooks, MRP/ERPs and other accounting software

Excellent oral & written communication skills

Ability to work independently, and as part of a team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to details

Self-starter and strong ethical standards

Ability to prepare business correspondence, reports, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present technical and budgetary/cost information, and respond to questions from managers and external contractors.

Demonstrate problem solving ability involving many variables and limited standardization.

Leadership skills, people management, meeting facilitation & presentation, and customer support.

Negotiation and conflict management skills

Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment.

Not required, but preferred: Background in F&B, bar/brewery, pharmacy/healthcare, IT, software dev. industry, banking/financial industry, daycare/school setting
Salary:
60.000,00 ₱ Monthly
