Job Description
- Draft, review and monitor the legal documents (commercial contracts, letters and so on) and the relevant negotiation with counterparty.
- Handle the legal disputes (mediation, arbitration or litigation process), including but not limited to drafting case analysis report, appear in court on behalf of the Company and so on.
- Provide legal or compliance opinions upon the consultancy from other departments or business units
- Contact with the external law firm, governmental or non-governmental organizations.
- Legal research in business or management needs.
- Other temporary or ad hoc tasks assigned by senior leaders.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelor or Master of Laws / J.D.
Admission to the Bar / Law society in Thailand.
Experience:
- Preferably has a minimum of two years working experience as the in-house legal counsel in famous companies or lawyers in external law firms or in governmental organizations.
- Experience of working in cross-functional project teams.
- Broad generalist legal experience which refers to:land transaction; corporate; cross-border M&A/transactional/FDI; litigation; employment; data privacy; competition law; instructing and managing external counsel.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Good time and priority management and organizational skills.
- Good stakeholder management skills with experience of working with management and decision makers. Good team player.
- Strong English or local language skills, in oral and written communication.
- Strong negotiation and good presentation skills.
- Strong document drafting skills (attention to detail, analytical, solution focused).
- Good commercial business acumen and ability to exercise commercial judgment.
- Detailed knowledge of company, industry, region and practices.
- Able to travel on short notice and work under tight time pressures.
- Adaptive to procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish strategic priorities whilst managing risk exposure.
