Delivery and Dispatching Manager (Roadnet)

Job Description

- Lead the dispatch team to ensure on-time-in-full and complete execution of all deliveries and pickups according to customer orders, utilizing Roadnet/Loadboard.
- Optimize fleet utilization by monitoring and managing daily vehicle schedules.
- Communicate delivery instructions, timeframes, and safety protocols to drivers.
- Resolve operational issues related to dispatch, including delays and route deviations.
- Regularly assess routing strategies and analyze data from Roadnet/Loadboard to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all data entered into Roadnet/Loaboard, including vehicle information, customer deliveries, and operational constraints.
- Provide training and ongoing support to dispatchers and drivers on using the Roadnet/Loadboard system effectively.
- Generate and analyze reports to enhance routing efficiency, minimize fuel consumption, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the dispatch team, offering guidance on operational challenges, system updates, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Operations, and Fleet Management teams to ensure efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on dispatch performance, route optimization results, and any areas requiring improvement.
-Coordinate with Fleet Management to ensure vehicle maintenance and availability.
- Ensure that vehicles are dispatched in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines regarding weight limits, safety, and environmental standards.
- Perform any additional duties or responsibilities assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean) are a plus.

Work Experience
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in dispatching, fleet management, or route optimization.
- Experience in managing system integrations and ensuring seamless data flow between platforms.

Competencies
- Computer skills related for logistics management, including order tracking, inventory, and route planning. (such as Microsoft Software, SAP and similar tools.)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze transportation data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and management abilities, with a proven capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and train team members.
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation systems beyond MS Dynamics and Roadnet (e.g., fleet management tools, GPS tracking) is a plus.
