Job Description

The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Financial Reporting:

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Generate financial reports and provide financial analysis for management decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of the organization's budget and monitor financial performance against it.
Provide financial insights to assist in forecasting future financial trends and needs.
Tax Compliance:

Ensure proper preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes.
Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure the organization is compliant with all tax regulations.
Internal Controls and Compliance:

Ensure the organization’s financial activities adhere to internal controls, accounting policies, and legal requirements.
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation for internal and external auditors.
Payroll Management:

Process payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, overtime, and bonuses.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to payroll (e.g., tax withholding, social security, benefits).
Cash Flow Management:

Monitor the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for day-to-day operations.
Recommend strategies for improving cash flow and reducing costs.
Record and Document Management:

Ensure proper filing and storage of all financial documents and records.
Maintain organized and accessible records for all financial transactions.
Ad Hoc Tasks:

Provide support for financial decision-making as requested by senior management.
Assist with special projects and any other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) is highly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with typical office hours.
Some overtime may be required during peak financial periods (e.g., year-end close, tax season).
Work is office-based, with potential travel required depending on the organization’s needs.
Salary:
645,00 ₱ Daily
