Job Description
US World-class Digital Architectural and Engineering Firm
Overview:
As a Senior Network Operations Analyst (Tier 3), you will be a key technical resource responsible for managing and resolving complex network-related issues that cannot be handled by lower tier teams.
You will support multiple customer environments and act as an engineering escalation contact supporting multi-vendor networks. Support will include LANs, WANs, Security, and wireless networks for our client’s customers.
You will also update architecture diagrams and design documents for customer networks as the network operations and customer network evolves.
Time tracking is essential and is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
● Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, collaboration applications, firewalls, and wireless networks.
● Support existing customer installations.
● Perform configuration changes on the customer systems per customer requirements.
● Manage escalated tickets working closely with NOC and SOC engineers.
● Implement firewall changes for customers (Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto)
● Notify customers of major network incidents and assist with remediation.
● Create change request documents utilizing Driven approved templates and complete customer change request forms to perform changes to network and infrastructure network.
● Collaborate on the completion of customer questionnaires, solution requirements documents, prepare test plans, create migration plans, build technical plans to support project plans, and ensure delivery per architecture and plans in accordance with documentation standards at Driven.
● Log all time activity using ConnectWise platform.
● Respond to customer emails in a timely manner.
● Develop and update network diagrams using Visio or similar visualization tools.
● Assist engineering team maintain up to date documentation to customers.
● Meet internally with network engineering team members and project management office to update project status and support items.
● Participate in on-call rotations for emergency support.
● Mentor a team of 6 Level 1 SOC/NOC Analysts.
Qualifications and Experience:
● Relevant educational qualifications.
● 5+ years working on enterprise networks.
● Maintain a minimum of CCNP or equivalent level certification.
● Experience administering Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet infrastructure.
● Expert knowledge of Layer 2 standards and protocols.
● Expert level understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols: RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
● Fundamental knowledge of designing secure network architectures.
● Network diagram creation and modification using Visio or similar drawing tools.
● Proficient using Microsoft Office 365 suite of productivity tools.
● Experience logging time to appropriate projects and tasks.
● Confident, business level, written and verbal communication skills.
