A Graphic Designer is expected to:
Design advertisements using Adobe InDesign based on the provided copy.
Utilize a web-based graphic resource for design tools.
Access workflow and copy through the Company's custom-built Workflow System – Star Production System 1.
Prepare and upload ePaper/eMag documents to the company’s website.
Layout pages, placing advertisements, editorial content, and photos effectively.
Send pages to press, ensuring high quality is maintained.
Design and layout commercial projects, including books, brochures, and magazines.
Obtain client approval for advertisements.
Lay out editorial pages using Adobe InDesign, working with allocated material (stories and pictures).
Access the editorial system through the Company’s custom-built Workflow System – SCMS.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s operational and production processes.
Report directly to the Creative Services Manager and supervisors, addressing any queries to them.
What it takes to be part of our team:
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
Experience with layout and design for print and digital media.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work with web-based graphic resources.
Familiarity with workflow systems, preferably custom-built systems like Star Production System 1 and SCMS.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills for obtaining client approvals and coordinating with supervisors.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of pre-press processes and standards.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in a similar role within a creative services environment is preferred.
