Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager with a specialization in Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate will support the Financial Reporting Manager in preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and improving reporting processes. This role requires a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Financial Reporting Manager with regulatory filings and external audits.
• Prepare reconciliations and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and industry standards.
• Oversee financial reporting for mall retail and leasing operations, including revenue recognition and lease accounting, to ensure accurate financial representation.
• Conduct financial analysis on retail and leasing operations, identifying key trends, variances, and actionable insights for management.
• Support external audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and managing audit inquiries.
• Develop and implement internal financial reporting policies and controls, tailored to retail and leasing requirements.
• Collaborate with leasing and property management teams to ensure all lease data is accurately recorded and reflected in financial reports.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly in revenue and expenditure projections for retail and leasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive improvements in reporting processes and adopt best practices for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar certification is preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in financial reporting, with a focus on retail and mall leasing operations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, with expertise in lease accounting and retail-specific financial requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize deadlines.
