Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Virtual Assistant to support our procurement team. This role requires a proactive individual who is proficient in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and can help manage supplier research, negotiations, and procurement tasks effectively.
Requirements:
Language Skills:
Proficient in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) for written and verbal communication.
Ability to research, negotiate, and communicate with suppliers in both languages.
Location:
Candidates should not be based in China due to technical limitations (Google Sheets and other tools are inaccessible in China).
Must be based in a region where Google Workspace tools are accessible.
Work Hours & Availability:
Available to work during regular working hours (SGT) (Singapore Time).
Must be able to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per day during working hours.
Ideal candidates should be able to commit consistently to part-time hours throughout the week.
Experience & Motivation:
Prior experience in procurement, buying, or supplier management is a plus, but not required.
Freshers who are motivated and quick learners are encouraged to apply.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and quick to adapt to new tools and processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Mail, and other common online work applications.
Comfortable using online tools for communication (email, Zoom, or chat platforms).
Freelancer Status:
Must be a freelancer and able to work independently in a remote setup.
Should not be a student or full-time employee, as this is a freelance/part-time position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience negotiating contracts or dealing with suppliers is advantageous but not required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
20 - 40 years old
Work Environment:
Remote position (work from anywhere, excluding China).
Flexible, but must align with daytime working hours in Singapore (SGT).
Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate through Google Workspace and other tools required.
Compensation:
$5-$6/hr
