Job Description

A quality manager (QM) is responsible for ensuring that a company's products and processes meet quality standards and customer expectations. Their responsibilities include:
Developing quality procedures
Creating and implementing quality standards, specifications, and procedures for the company
Inspecting products
Ensuring products meet quality standards by inspecting them at various stages of production
Analyzing data
Collecting and analyzing data on inspections and other aspects of production to identify areas for improvement
Training staff
Training and managing a team of quality control technicians
Liaising with others
Working with project managers, purchasing staff, and other managers to ensure quality standards are met
Improving processes
Identifying ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency, and implementing improvements
Maintaining documentation
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
Complying with standards
Ensuring the company complies with international and national standards, as well as ISO accreditation requirements
