Infrastructure Engineer Lead - Events Monitoring

Lead and manage the Event Monitoring Team.
Ensure team members are adequately trained and have the necessary tools and
resources.
Assign roles and responsibilities within the team.
Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and discuss improvements.
Event Monitoring and Detection:
Oversee the continuous monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications.
Ensure that all critical systems and services are monitored.
Establish and maintain monitoring thresholds and alert configurations.
Event Logging and Categorization:
Ensure that events are accurately logged in the event management system.
Categorize events based on their nature and potential impact.
Prioritize events to ensure timely response to critical issues.
Event Response and Escalation:
Develop and implement procedures for event response.
Ensure that events are responded to according to their priority and impact.
Escalate events to the appropriate teams or individuals when necessary.
Coordination with Other Teams:
Collaborate with Incident Management, Problem Management, and other ITSM
processes.
Ensure that relevant information is shared with these teams to facilitate resolution and
root cause analysis.
Work with Change Management to assess the impact of changes on event monitoring.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular reports on event monitoring activities and performance.
Analyze event data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement.
