Role Overview:
The Production Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of production lines in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves working collaboratively with team members to ensure that products are manufactured to meet quality standards, production schedules, and food safety regulations. The Production Operator plays a vital role in the overall production process, ensuring smooth operations and timely product output.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
Prepare materials and ingredients for production runs, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality in the production process.
Conduct regular quality checks on products during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards.
Assist with the setup and changeover of production lines as needed for different product runs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation guidelines.
Accurately record production data, including output levels, downtime, and any issues encountered during the process.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in manufacturing or food production is advantageous.
1-2 years of experience in a production role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations, GMP, and quality control standards.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Good problem-solving skills to identify and address production issues promptly.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks as required.
