Job Description

Salary: 120,000 - 200,000

QUALIFICATIONS:
・Must be a graduate of engineering, economics, statistics, finance, or other business-related courses
・Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the power industry
・Must have a strong background in the Philippine power industry including electricity spot market, grid and distribution code, power system operation, and existing rules and regulations.
・Highly knowledgeable of the different policy/regulatory frameworks that have allowed the successful development of power projects and operating new power projects
・Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
・ Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills
・Willing to work onsite

■JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lead Specialist / Asst. Manager / Manager will lead/support the operation of company’s power generation asset and business development of new power projects.
Candidate will strategize plans, interact and negotiate with different power industry stakeholders, and perform other necessary activities in relation to new power project development (i.e. feasibility study, financial model, permitting, etc) and operating asset-management of existing power (i.e. trading, commercial, permitting, etc).

■KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and support business development team in various pipeline of power projects and implement strategies to achieve objectives
• Conceptualize, perform and execute plans to achieve goals in developing new power plants
• Supervision of the day-to-day operations of company’s power generating assets including electricity trading, commercial performance and operation performance
• Ensure adherence in WESM Compliance standards, regulatory requirements and updating permits
• Short and long-term energy market modelling, electricity price simulation, and forecasting
• Coordination with DOE (the Department of Energy), ERC (Energy Regulatory Commission), IEMOP, NGCP, PEMC, DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) and other entities, if necessary
• Proper operational execution of all short-term and long-term Agreements (PPA, ASPA, etc)
• Create weekly and monthly report for management
• Perform any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the management
