The DATA Engineer is responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of data models, data integration, data processing and reporting solutions. The Data engineer will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to deliver data initiatives that provide the business with enhanced data and reporting capability.

The main responsibilities of a DATA ENGINEER include:

• Take ownership of tasks and manage business expectations.
• Understand business processes and requirements to deliver functional and practical solutions.
• Design and map data models.
• Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data documentation and definitions.
• Work with Snowflake cloud warehouse.
• Develop and maintain data documentation and definitions.
• Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake and integration tools like Fivetran to ingest data from various sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data transformation processes using dbt for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support data analysts and cross-functional teams with their data needs.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality, performance, and integrity issues.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Provision user access to data.
• Ensure data security when handling confidential and personal data.
• Have a solid understanding of AWS cloud environment and data-related ser



To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
• Qualified with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with relational databases and administering PostgreSQL/SQL server platforms.
• Strong programming skills in dbt and SQL, with a focus on data manipulation, ETL/ELT processes, and analysis.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in Snowflake, Fivetran, and dbt.
• Proficiency in data modeling concepts.
• Expertise in data integration (ETL/ELT) methods and techniques, including working with flat files (CSV, JSON, XML), SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL), and APIs.
• Expert knowledge of reporting and visualization tools, preferably Tableau Server.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
