Warehouse In-charge

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse In-Charge is responsible for managing and overseeing the warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, storing and shipping of products. His role is to ensure efficient warehouse operations, accurate record-keeping and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inventory Management:
a. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory checks.
b. Implement and manage inventory control procedures and ensure stock accuracy.
c. Coordinate with inventory planning manager/distribution manager to manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

2. Receiving and Shipping:
a. Oversee the receiving process, including inspection and verification of incoming goods against delivery receipts.

3. Warehouse Operations:
a. Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to ensure optimal space utilization and easy access to products.
b. Implement efficient storage systems and procedures.
c. Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.

4. Team Management:
a. Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
b. Develop and implement training programs for warehouse employees.
c. Foster a positive and productive work environment.

5. Safety and Compliance:
a. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
b. Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
c. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

6. Record-Keeping and Reporting:
a. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and receipts.
b. Prepare regular reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and operational performance.
c. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

7. Continuous Improvement:
a. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
b. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in warehouse management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

SKILLS:
1. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
2. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
3. Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
5. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
2. Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
3. Operating warehouse equipment and machinery.
