Job Description

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, with specific experience in Australian payroll.
Experience with payroll software, such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms.
Experience with Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting.
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, superannuation, and award interpretation.
Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and process end-to-end payroll for Australian employees, including regular, bonus, and termination payments.
Ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws and regulations, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, and other statutory requirements.
Prepare and submit payroll reports, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions, to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Perform payroll reconciliations, ensuring that all payroll transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Manage superannuation contributions, ensuring timely payments and compliance with the Superannuation Guarantee (SG) requirements.
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
Manage year-end payroll processes, including the preparation of payment summaries and reconciling payroll accounts.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
