Programmer

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain software solutions to optimize our production processes, ensure seamless integration of technology, and improve overall efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications to support manufacturing operations.
2. System Integration: Integrate various software systems and tools used in manufacturing processes.
3. Database Management: Create and manage databases to store and retrieve manufacturing data efficiently.
4. Process Automation: Develop scripts and programs to automate routine manufacturing tasks and data collection.
5. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to resolve software-related issues and optimize system performance.
6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for software development processes, system configurations, and user guides.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their software needs and deliver effective solutions.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement software solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
9. Compliance: Ensure that all software systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in software development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Technical Skills:
a. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or similar.
b. Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
c. Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
d. Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks.
e. Understanding of industrial control systems and IoT technologies is a plus.
f. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
g. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
h. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
i. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience with SCADA systems.
2. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
3. Certification in relevant software development methodologies or tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Environment: Office setting within a manufacturing facility.
2. Schedule: Full-time position with occasional need for overtime or on-call support.
