Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The accounting staff member is responsible for managing financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and supporting the financial operations of the manufacturing company. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
a. Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory records.
b. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
a. Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
b. Verify and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
c. Prepare and send out customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
d. Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist in collections.
3. Inventory Management:
a. Assist in tracking and reconciling inventory levels.
b. Work closely with the production and inventory departments to ensure accurate inventory reporting.
c. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
4. Financial Reporting:
a. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
b. Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
c. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
5. Cost Accounting:
a. Assist in the analysis of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
b. Support the preparation of cost estimates and pricing strategies.
c. Monitor variances between actual costs and budgeted costs and report findings.
6. Compliance and Controls:
a. Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
b. Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
c. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and sensitive data.
7. General Administrative Support:
a. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
b. Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
c. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Skills:
a. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
b. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
c. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
d. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
e. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
f. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience in cost accounting and inventory management.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations.
3. Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Office environment within a manufacturing facility.
2. Standard working hours with potential for occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end closings).
3. Occasional interaction with production floor staff to gather information or resolve discrepancies.
Salary:
25.000,00 ₱ Monthly
