Job Description
• Monitor logistics costs, analyst transportation expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings through efficient routing and negotiation with logistics service providers.
• Liaise with internal teams and external customers to provide updates on shipment status, resolve queries or complaints promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Establish strategies and adopt most effective and efficient way to store and transport goods from origin to destination.
• Plan and oversee the scheduling and dispatch of outbound deliveries.
• Ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements to meet customer expectations
• Coordinate with the production team to align delivery schedules with production output
Managing Third-Party Service Providers:
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring adherence to service agreements.
• Negotiate and monitor contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
• Evaluate and select third-party providers based on performance and reliability.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of third-party services to ensure continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in Logistics and Warehouse Management
• Background in SAP or similar ERP/Logistics software is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle logistics challenges and emergencies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Ability to analyze logistics data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
