Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to join our team. As a compliance assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company meets all legal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our compliance team to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures and to monitor and assess the effectiveness of our compliance program.

In this role, you will need to have excellent organizational and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. You should have a deep understanding of relevant laws and regulations, and be able to interpret and apply them in practical ways to our business operations. You should also have strong communication skills, as you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to employees at all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and identify areas for improvement
Processing Applications.
Property Compliance.
Sending out agreements and drafting advertisements.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance issues and mitigate risks
Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory agencies
Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters
Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that impact our business operations
Maintain accurate and complete records of compliance activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Compliance Assistant and handles US, UK, or AU clients.
Proficiency in accounting software. (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
Proficient in Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Proven experience in Generating reports + preparing analytical reports.
Understanding of the Australian Tax System – including GST
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
Excellent communication skills.
Can start ASAP.
